Toddlers Song, Story & Play Time
After a year or so being unable to meet due to COVID, St Paul's Toddler group has returned with 'Toddlers Song, Story & Play Time'. It is Toddlers but not as you know it! 'Toddlers Song, Story & Play Time' will start with music, dancing, actions and a story, followed by a time of free play and craft activity - all COVID secure. Toddlers is on Friday mornings in term time.
We currently have two hour long sessions available: 9:30am-10:30am and 11am-12pm. Spaces are limited and cost £1.50 per adult or child over 5. Tickets must be booked in advance, which you can do via St Paul's page on Eventbrite.
Although we can't sing at the moment, we can use our bodies to dance and do actions to some of our favourite Toddlers songs. We will have props and/or instruments for children to enjoy, which will fit with our weekly theme. We will also have storytime. All will be done in a COVID secure way!
We are following all government guidance. All props/toys/instruments/seating will be sanitised before and after each session. We have separate free play toys and craft activities for each session, which are rotated around each week, so all children will get a variety of activities to do. On arrival, and throughout the session as needed, both adults and children will sanitised their hands. Households and childcare bubbles will remain together with 2ms between household spaces for song & story time. Social distance to be followed by adults during free play time. Everyone will be booked in advance and numbers limited in line with government guidelines - our register also becomes our NHS Test and Trace info if needed. Face masks need to be worn by adults on entry and exit and when moving round the room when social distancing cannot be kept but face masks can be removed when you are sat in your household or childcare bubble during the session.

St Paul's Toddler group seeks to provide an oasis for mums, dads, carers and small children and babies on Friday mornings in term time. We meet in the church from 9.30 -11.30 am. The cost is £1.50 per child over 1 years old.
Each Friday we offer a variety of activities and crafts, as well as lots of toys to play with, and on some weeks we ask the children to help us tell a Bible story. We serve refreshments during the morning and always end with our lively ‘Song Time’ where the children help us choose the music to sing and dance along to.
During the course of the year, we hold special events such as our Christmas and Summer parties as well as supporting various fundraising initiatives such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Quotes from parents and carers.
‘The new layout is really great. Very friendly place. We love it here and so does our grandson!’
‘Coming to toddler groups is my daughter’s highlight of the week, especially the juice and biscuits! The volunteers are so welcoming and friendly and it’s great to have a natter with other parents.’
‘It is a lovely place to bring the children. The helpers are all very friendly and helpful and welcoming. I have been coming with my granddaughter for nearly a year now and she is very happy here.’
‘I have been bringing my boys to St. Paul’s Toddler group for about 4 years and have always found it such a friendly and welcoming environment. The new set up in the Church only enhances this. There is so much space for the children to play and I particularly like the “café area” by the drinks and biscuits.’
‘A very welcoming and friendly toddler group. Nice to have more space for my son to play.’
